Season 3

Season 2

Viva La Puerto Rico!

We were most fortunate to participate in the second annual Taste of Puerto Rico, Saborea 2009.  A tough job, we had to head to beautiful, sunny Puerto Rico just when things were getting rainy and wet here in Rhode Island. Matt did cooking demonstrations in the great company of Jacques Torres, Keegan Gerhard and Cat Cora to name a few.

If you have not been you must go.  Simple as that.  The people are amazing, their warmth and hospitality makes the crystal clear blue water even more inviting.  The local food is fantastic.  A pork lover's paradise.  The culture, the music, the palm trees, the rain forest, the mountains, the shoes (if I may), the mangos! Puerto Rico has it all.  If you seek further encouragement please give us a call.

CHEZ PASCAL &

THE HOT DOG CART

WILL BE CLOSED FOR

A BRIEF VACATION

SATURDAY, JULY 4TH - MONDAY, JULY 6TH

RE-OPENING ON

TUESDAY, JULY 7TH

Have a wonderful holiday!

But there is much to talk about so please read on.....

On Mondays , Chez Pascal will be offering The Market Menu in addition to our regular menu on Mondays.

Inspired by the fantastic overwhelming success of the Saturday Winter Farmers’ Market in Pawtucket, we thought it would be exciting to create menu items based solely on what we can get directly from the Market and/or the farmers themselves.

This is not to say that we don’t source locally as a rule anyway, but we are bound by supply, seasons and basic products to make sustaining an entire menu based on this notion difficult.  The items on The Market Menu will only be offered on Mondays for this reason with a few exceptions sourced elsewhere… salt, pepper, spices, stocks, flour & olive oil.  As the season changes and more items become available, the menu will expand.  And who knows, with a little luck and ingenuity The Market Menu may evolve into the only menu on Mondays.  Now that is progress.

The unpredictability of nature will keep us patient and humble.  Supplying only when it is ready, and when it is gone it is gone.

Please come out and see what our good earth is making.
